Carrington Beckford

Owner Speed and Strength Coach BPSL 1&2, NASM, ASFA, ACE, CPR/AED

Carrington Beckford is a former collegiate football player at Northern Michigan University and East Stroudsburg University. He was on track to play in the NFL when he suffered a series of career ending injuries his senior year. Carrington started his career off the field by taking a position for future hall of famer Denny Douds at East Stroudsburg University working long side Jimmy Terwilliger. Carrington then started off his Strength and Conditioning career by studying/mentored under Dustin Brancheau, Seth Forman and Pete Bommarito. Carrington took on the role as the Strength and Conditioning coach at Pleasant Valley H.S in Pennsylvania, before he took on the role as being the head strength coach at the Pocono Dome in PA. Carrington was also one of speed coaches for Rivals.com which he traveled around the country to coach some of the top high school athletes in the country. Carrington worked at Advanced Athletic Development before he decided to start his own establishment, Overdrive Elite Performance Systems in Stamford, Connecticut, now located in New Canaan Connecticut.

Carrington’s Coaching Philosophy is emphasizing technical efficiency and intensity for movement and weight room exercises. Carrington is knowledgeable in the following training methods: movement linear speed focus: Acceleration, max velocity, absolute speed, top end speed. Lateral/Multi-direction movement development, C.O.D, work capacity training, Periodization of Strength (Anatomical Adaptation, Hypertrophy, Strength, Power, Power Endurance, Muscular Endurance for all sports/athletes. Carrington’s highly known in Fairfield County for his tactical speed work as well for Lacrosse and Football players.

Carrington has trained over 200 division 1 and 2 athletes in all sports such as football, lacrosse, basketball, tennis, soccer, rowing, squash and volleyball. Players such as All American Stanford commit Sarah Jaques, All American Cornelius Johnson Michigan, Caylee Waters UNC/Team USA, Montana Semmel New York Yankees, Tim Wilson East Stroudsburg University/Philadelphia Eagles, Taylor Lane Yale, Charlotte Harmon U of Florida, Eva Greco Duke, Micheal Mitchell Temple, Donavon McDonald at Nebraska University, Abby Wolf Northwestern University, Changa Hodge Villanova University/Virginia Tech, Omar Fortt University of Connecticut, Maddie Joyce Brown University, Kate Goldsmith Georgetown, Zee Robinson University of Albany, Jack Doty Brown University, Jack Iuliano University of Pennsylvania to name a few.

Speed & Strength Coach, Football Positional Coach NCSF ASFA

From Pennsylvania. Graduated from Wilson West Lawn school and was Pennsylvania football writer’s first team all-state. Former four-year starter at linebacker for the University of Connecticut who received All- American honorable mentions in both 2015 and 2017 and was awarded MVP of the team at UConn in 2017. Then went on to be an un-drafted free agent for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2018. Former personal trainer at the Lab Performance Harrisburg, PA and Equinox Greenwich, CT.

Khairi Fortt

Football Director

Khairi Fortt also known as Khi, is the football operator for OD. Fortt grew up in Stamford, Ct and was an outstanding football player in school. The number one ranked football player in CT to be exact. In 2009, Khairi Fortt was nominated as the number two outside linebacker in the country by USA Today news. After playing in the 2010 U.S Army All American Bowl. Fortt began his college career at Penn State, then transferred to Cal Berkeley where he finished as a semifinalist for the Dick Butkus Award in 2013, nominating him as one of the best twelve linebackers in college football. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the fourth round of the 2014 draft and played wit various teams over a three-year career including Jacksonville Jaguars, Cincinnati Bengals and Washington Redskins.

Steven Bazewicz

Strength and Conditioning Coach, CSCS, XPS

Steven Bazewicz, CSCS, XPS, is a leading Strength and Conditioning Coach in Fairfield County, Connecticut. An accomplished athlete, who traveled the world participating in Tae Kwon Do tournaments and exhibitions and who even held Olympic ambitions, Steven has always been invested in promoting the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

After receiving his Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry, Steven began his professional career in protein research for global healthcare company, Novo Nordisk. While there, Steven developed a number of patented products before returning to school to pursue his true passion and obtain another Bachelors of Science degree, this time in Exercise Science. With this degree, Steven began his career in Strength and Conditioning. Since then, to further his ability to serve his clients and the fitness community, Steven also has interned at several Division I colleges and EXOS. He is a Titleist Level II trainer, FMS Level II, Precision Nutrition, and NASM Corrective and Performance certified.

Steven is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in Exercise and Sport Psychology at Springfield College.
